Top of the morning, Ice Festers! We hope this Monday finds you psyched! Today we bring news that LOWA will be returning to Ice Fest again this year! They’ve been making boots for over 90 years, so you can bet they know what they’re doing when it comes to versatility and keeping your feet warm in harsh winter conditions. This year they’ve really stepped up their game in the alpine category and will have some exciting new boots for you to try out! Fun fact: Jim Whittaker was the first American to climb Mount Everest and he did so in a pair LOWA boots back in 1963! Sick!
This year when you stop by their booth, make sure you check out the Weisshorn GTX. This boot is specifically designed for both ice and alpine climbing and demos for men and women will be available. This boot features technology that allows for the perfect fit that will hold your foot in place under the most intense situations. They’ve also reduced the weight of the boot while increasing rigidity for automatic crampons. It’s the perfect mountaineering boot, and one you won’t want to take off once you’ve got it on!
Stay tuned for more from LOWA and join us in welcoming them back for the 2014 Mount Washington Valley Ice Festival!
