Hey Icefest Fans! MWVIcefest is psyched to welcome new guest guide Benjamin Mirkin to the  Mount Washington Valley Ice Fest lineup this year!

Ben first swung an ice axe here in MWV in the winter of 2003 while working in Pinkham Notch. Ben was no stranger to NH winters and once things look a turn towards the vertical, they never went back!

He then spent the better part of the next decade guiding for the White Mountain School. Ben is currently an Assistant Professor at Lyndon State College in VT where he is also the Intro and Advanced Ice Course Instructor. When he’s not in the classroom, or getting students outside, Ben guides for Mooney Mountain Guides and teaches AIARE courses for Synnot Mountain Guides.

In his spare time you’ll still see Ben outside, be it hitting all the good ski days on the rock pile, or introducing his two kiddos to the White and Green Mountains that are his home.  What a great guy!  We are psyched to have him this year!
