Hyperlite Mountain Gear (HMG) will be back at Ice Fest again this year and we couldn’t be happier. Based out of Maine, HMG builds innovative packs with details that make them well suited for a wide array of alpine endeavors. Their packs and sacks are made out of Cuban fiber cloth, an incredibly light, water proof material that can take a beating.

Our favorite pack from HMG for climbing in the North East would be the 2400 Ice Pack. This pack weighs just 33.8 oz and will get you to the base of technical ice climbs, up alpine climbs, and around the crag on sport climbing day trips with ease. It’s 40 liter capacity has the space for all your gear and convenient external straps to hold ropes, crampons, tools, and your helmet! New for 2014 are fully sealed seams for increased water resistance and they’ve double reinforced the bottom of the pack so it holds up against the roughest conditions!
