Hey Ice Festers! We’re excited to announce that Adirondack Superstar and Outdoor Research Ambassador Emilie Drinkwater is back on board again as a Guest Guide again this year! She’s been with us for a few years now and we couldn’t be happier to have her back.
Emilie spends most of her time guiding in the Adirondack Mountains she calls home. In the summer of 2011 she took part in an all women’s expedition to the Karakoram Mountains of India. There she and her partners Janet Bergman and Kirsten Kramer achieved numerous first ascents. Emilie is an accomplished climber, having been working at it for the last 15 years. While she currently hales from the ADK, her roots began in New Hampshire where she grew up a ski racer. She took up climbing in college and hasn’t looked back! She’s an amazing person and an excellent educator. She’ll be with us all three days this year, so be sure to check out her clinics and sign up before they’re full!
This year Emilie is teaching the following clinics:
Friday: Outdoor Research’s Ladies Just Wanna Climb Clinic
Saturday: Outdoor Research’s Introduction to Ice Climbing for Rock Climbers
Sunday: Outdoor Research’s Steep Waterfall Ice Climbing Skills
