The Mount Washington Observatory is reporting rime ice on the summit today! “The cold front moving through the region has brought temps well below freezing and wind chills near 15 below to the summit. The peak wind gust on the summit so far has been 120 mph with model numbers indicating the highest winds will come early this evening. The higher summits will continue to be high winds, cold temperatures and ideal icing conditions throughout most of the week. The mercury will most likely not rise above freezing until early next weekend.” Bring it, we’re ready for it!  Start getting psyched folks and make sure you’re prepared from here on out if you’re headed into the mountains!
