IMCS Senior Guide, Craig John.

We are so excited to have experienced mountaineer and climbing guide, Craig John with us this year!  Sometimes he’s off on expeditions, and we don’t have him for every Ice Fest, but we do for the 2013 MWV Ice Fest!  In specific, “Craig John began climbing in the Cascade Range and Olympic Mountains of Washington State. He has been a professional mountain guide since 1987. He has 189 ascents of Mount Rainier by 12 different routes and more than 50 high altitude expeditions worldwide.” (quoted from HERE)  Yep, this guy has been around mountains, and KNOWS his stuff.

When you take a clinic with Craig you can talk about his ascent of the North Ridge of Mount Everest, as well as his many expeditions to Kilimanjaro, Denali, and Cho Oyu!  You will see his clinics are some of the best offered as he is an incredible teacher, and his passion for climbing, the mountains, and adventure is contagious.

Craig will be teaching the 2 Day Glacier Travel and Crevasse Rescue Course on Saturday & Sunday of the Ice Fest.  If you’re heading into the mountains, and want to make sure you have your skills down, this is the course for you.  Learning how to get out of sticky sticky situations in the mountains is not only a necessity but  a responsibility!  Don’t wait, and get psyched to hone in on your mountain skills!
