Don’t worry because a large representation of the Ice Fest crew just happen to be women and we have got you covered!! We wanted to let you all know about our women specific clinics Woot Woot!!! For women specific clinics we will be kicking off the weekend with the Friday OR sponsored clinic “Ladies just want to Ice Climb” Guided by OR athlete and Ice rocker Emilie Drinkwater. Then on Saturday booyaa whap we have the one and only First Ascent athlete Mrs. Caroline George teaching the Women’s Steep Ice clinic! Also on Saturday Patagonia athlete Majka Burhardt will be teaching the Patagonia Women’s Mixed Climbing Clinic Damnnn!!!! This is a mega lineup!!
If you are looking for some coaching by kick ass female athletes and like the idea of a unisex clinic check out these other offerings!! Vermontster Andrea Cherest is back in action!! Andrea is a sponsored Mammut athlete who just returned from competing at the Ouray Ice Fest!! Yeah girrrrlll!! She will be teaching Newbie Ice on Saturday. Lindsay Fixmer is an Ibex athlete who hails from dixie. This southern sender is a full time guide and is a certified AMGA Rock guide. Lindsay is teaching the Ibex Newbie Ice Climbing Clinic with Andrea on Saturday. The lovely local ripper Mtn. Hardware athlete Janet Wilkinson will be teaching the Learn to Lead Ice Clinic on Saturday and Sunday!! In addition to guiding women’s specific clinics Caroline George and Emilie Drinkwater are both guiding all three days of Ice Fest woohoo!! Caroline will be guiding Friday: Introduction To Ice Climbing For Rock Climbers Sunday: Outdoor Research’s Steep Waterfall Ice Climbing Skills Emily will be guiding Saturday: Outdoor Research’s Introduction To Ice Climbing For Rock Climbers and Sunday: Outdoor Research’s Steep Waterfall Ice Climbing Skills.
