A huge welcome to Miron Chlebosz, a long time ice fest attendee, who will be giving a talk and slideshow at the Saturday evening event.
Miron-Poland

An example of the severe mixed terrain of the Tatra Mountains.

Before emigrating to the US in 1990, Miron ice and mixed climbed extensively in the Tatra Mountains. He has since climbed in the Himalaya, the Alps, the Caucuses, and Yosemite, none of which has fostered a climbing culture quite like that of his home range, the Tatras. We are really excited to hear what Miron has to say and hope that he can impart some Eastern European badassery onto each of us.

Miron-Poland

The Tatra Mountains, on the border of Slovakia and Poland, have produced many talented mountaineers in the past few decades, Miron will tell us what makes that range – and the people who train in it – so special.
