Sarah Garlick is a climber from North Conway. She’s led expeditions to Greenland, Newfoundland, Patagonia, Peru, Mozambique, and Jordan. She’s the author of two books: Flakes, Jugs, and Splitters: A Rock Climber’s Guide to Geology (2009) and the National Geographic Pocket Guide to Rocks and Minerals of North America(2014). When she’s not climbing, she’s chasing around her two boys (ages 3 and 6) and directing science communication programs for the Hubbard Brook Ecosystem Study, a long term research program based in the White Mountains. Sarah currently serves as the president of the Board of Directors for the Friends of the Ledges, a local climbing stewardship organization.

Jim Surette is the owner/operator of Granite Films.  In the last two decades, Jim has circled the globe shooting and exploring every continent.  He is a guide with Synnott Mountain Guides.  Born and raised in the North Conway, Jim started exploring the valley and taking advantage of all the outdoor exploits it has to offer practically from birth.  While still a teenager, Jim established what was then the hardest technical rock climb in New Hampshire, with his historic first ascent of Liquid Sky (5.13b) on Cathedral Ledge.   Nowadays he splits his time chasing along with professional athletes to get the perfect camera angle, and chasing his 3 and 6 year old boys (with the afore mentioned guide Sarah, his spouse).
